5 days · Manali · Mahili Thach
Through cedar, pine and oak to the meadows of Mahili Thach, then up a ridge to Rani Sui — a small tarn with a 360° view of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar.
Welcome to Manali base camp. After breakfast, team-building activities; after lunch, the acclimatisation walk and back to camp.
Through forests of giant cedar, pine and oak. The trail climbs gently at first with wide views of the Kullu valley, then steeply to the green meadows of Mahili Thach, ringed by peaks.
An early start with packed lunch, up a steep ridge with a magnificent look at Manali on the Beas and the whole upper Kullu valley. Rani Sui is a small mountain tarn with a 360° view of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges. Back to Mahili Thach.
Down the same trail to the road head, and straight on to base camp.
Your day: Manali sightseeing, river rafting, paragliding, zipline — then departure.
Trekking here moves at a slower, more immersive pace — forests, meadows, villages and high ground. Come reasonably fit and follow local weather and trail-safety guidance.
