Day by day
Day 1Arrival — Manali base camp
Welcome to Manali base camp! After breakfast: registration, orientation and introductions. After lunch, an acclimatisation walk or some sightseeing, and back to base camp.
Day 2Base camp → Solang → Bakar Thach
A jeep ride to the Solang valley, then the trek to Bakar Thach via Dhundi. We cross the Beas, and an hour later reach Bakar Thach — 5 to 6 hours in all, at 10,700 ft.
Day 3Bakar Thach → Beas Kund → Bakar Thach
An early start for Beas Kund, 4 to 5 hours on a moderate climb with views of Shetidhar, O Peak (Zero Peak), Friendship Peak, Ladakhi Peak, Tantu Pass and Hanuman Tibba. Beas Kund is the source of the Beas, ringed by juniper. Then back down to Bakar Thach.
Day 4Bakar Thach → Solang → Manali base camp
After breakfast we walk down to the Solang valley and take the jeep back to the Manali base camp.
Day 5Free day & departure
Your day: Manali sightseeing, river rafting, paragliding, zipline — and departure after dinner.
Before you go
Trekking here moves at a slower, more immersive pace — forests, meadows, villages and high ground. Come reasonably fit and follow local weather and trail-safety guidance.
